We took a three and half hour train ride from Lugano to Venice. The trains are so nice in Europe. It was a very comfortable trip. We had a water taxi waiting for us at the train station. Took these photos on the way to the hotel.
It's so nice to be back in Venice. We stayed at a favorite hotel--Hotel Firenze--right off Piazza San Marco. The rooms are very small but very charming.
Last year we tried to get the one room in the hotel with a private terrace. We were able to get it this year.
We had a very nice dinner at the restaurant at the Nolinski Hotel. It was excellent.
Not sure what we're doing tomorrow. Depends on the weather.
