We left Luzern mid day, but not before visiting the Saturday farmer's market that takes place on the sidewalk in front of our hotel.
We took a train to Lugano. The scenery was stunning along the way.
We arrived in Lugano in the afternoon on the second day of the Lugano Autumn Fest and lots of streets were closed off including the one in front of our hotel. As a result, we couldn't take a cab to the hotel. We ended up taking a funicular down the mountain to the lake and rolled our bags to the hotel. It all worked out. The hotel turned out to be really nice. This is taken from our balcony overlooking the lake.
There was a huge cheese competition that took place last evening. Today there were way over 50 of these little huts with cheese makers offering tastes of their cheeses. Lots of fun.
A good first day in Lugano.
